Sona Nair is the founder & Artistic Director of Natyakala Dance Academy. Sona is a Classical Dancer, Choreographer & Performing Artist of various Indian classical & ethnic dance forms, which include Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyaatam, Kuchupudi & Kathakali. Sona was trained under eminent KalaKshetra & KalaMandalam gurus, and she is a recipient of KalaThilakam & Gold Medalist for her achievements in performing arts.
Sona's lifelong passion for dance, and her pursuit for promoting Indian culture and artistic talents among children & adults, inspired her to establish "Natyakala Dance Academy". The academy's vision is to unite people through dance and create platforms to spread the significance and greatness of Indian classical dance forms by collaborating with society.
Sona is an excellent composer and a revered teacher with unique & creative presentation styles. Trained many aspiring students to achieve their dance graduation & passion in dance. Performed at various stages across North America, India and Singapore. She has expertise in conceptualizing & executing mega-stage programs. Sona has worked with renowned artists & musicians at popular platforms and successfully trained & managed teams of more than 100+ performers for various signature events.
